High-Resolution Ultrasound Imaging in Both Range and Lateral Directions Based on MUSIC Algorithm

摘要
MUltiple SIgnal Classification (MUSIC), which detects the wave arrival direction from array received signals with high resolution, is one of the well-known subspace methods. As an extension of MUSIC, Time-Reversal MUSIC (TR-MUSIC), a high-resolution scatterer detection method for active receiver systems such as ultrasound imaging, has been proposed. This method improves the lateral resolution as well as the MUSIC. On the other hand, we proposed Range-MUSIC (R-MUSIC) for ultrasound imaging, which improves the resolution in the range direction based on the frequency-phase characteristics by estimating the variance-covariance matrix of the echo time series as an average over the subbands. In this study, we aim to achieve higher resolution in both directions by integrating TR-MUSIC and R-MUSIC.
