Perinephric hematoma after renal biopsy: report of a case and review of the literature on management, support and resuscitation

In current medical practice, minimally invasive procedures are gaining strength as a diagnostic method for multiple pathologies. This is how kidney biopsy is a fundamental part of this arsenal for the study of both acute or chronic kidney diseases, as well as malignancy, each with well -established criteria. Although the extensive advances in technology and the improvement of techniques, with strict imaging guides and radiological protocols that attribute a reduction in possible complications, the risks cannot be underestimated, such as vascular injury, hematuria, , hematoma, infection, and even death. It is for this reason that this article aims to detail the report of a case and the review of the literature referring to the biopsy procedure itself and the management of its complications, illustrating a holistic point of view in order to convey, in light of the evidence, the multidisciplinary aspects involved.
