摘要
In recent years, in the field of digital electronics, technology opportunities creating many innovative openings for the implementation of increasingly complex encryption systems for data communication applications. One of the important issues is that our society could not maintain its real time current operations without protocols based on cryptography. On the basis of a systemic approach, we propose in this work a Programmable Cellular Automata (PCA) based cryptosystem which is able to efficiently secure data sent over the telecommunication networks. The reason for choosing a bio-inspired technique based on PCA to develop the security technology is due to their excellent performance including: massive parallelism, robustness, simplicity and relative ease of implementation in hardware solutions (e.g., Raspberry Pi or reconfigurable FPGA).
