摘要
Lung cancer, with its high global morbidity and mortality rates, poses a significant health challenge. Platinum drugs are one of the commonly used chemotherapy drugs. Unfortunately, their clinical effects are limited due to toxicity and drug resistance. Therefore, there has been a growing focus on the development of innovative metalbased anti-tumor drugs over the past decades. Among metal-based anticancer agents, Schiff-base metal complexes have gained considerable attention due to their significant antiproliferative potency and efficacy. These complexes leverage the combined advantages of Schiff base ligands and metal ions, demonstrating a diverse array of anti-tumor mechanisms. This review comprehensively summarizes the latest advancements in Schiffbase metal complexes, detailing their biological activities and the mechanisms underlying their action.
