摘要
A polyethylene glycol nitrite (PEG-ONO) has been developed as a novel diazotizing agent. It is found to be a cost-effective, highly stable, easy to handle, and efficient diazotizing agent. This reagent has been explored in various well-known reactions occurring via the diazonium intermediate. The nonvolatile nature of PEG ONO reduces its exposure to the user and thereby minimizes the risk of nitrite toxicity.
