The present work examines an experimental investigation of thermal performance and heat loss analysis of parabolic concentrating collector (PTC) with twisted tape (TT) inserts in the absorber tube for different twist ratios (4.5, 5.5, 6.5, 7.5, 8.5 and 9.5). The experiment is conducted using water as the heat transfer fluid and the mass flow rate ranges from 0.0249 kg/s to 0.0590 kg/s. Instantaneous efficiency and useful heat gain for the absorber tube with twisted tape inserts are found comparatively higher than the same results obtained from the plain absorber tube one. On the other hand, heat losses decrease for the absorber tube with twisted tape inserts as compare to the plain tube one.
