Three in one - squamous cell carcinoma on a lupus pernio and a freezing in only one half of the face - a case report

Currently, there is no description of a combined occurrence of cutaneous sarcoidosis, specifically lupus pernio, frost-damaged skin, and squamous cell carcinoma in the same skin area. Based on our case report, we aim to present some characteristics of the different manifestations, including the use of modern dermatological imaging techniques such as optical coherence tomography (OCT) and line-field confocal optical coherence tomography (LC-OCT). Through the evaluation of the patient's progress, we aim to suggest the potential inclusion of these devices in clinical practice to improve both diagnosis and therapy. As this seem to be a rare constellation of symptoms, our case report also intends to illustrate the therapeutic success of a multimodal topical and systemic therapy regimen.
