摘要
This paper discusses the construction of the teaching identity in the post-graduation in health based on the narratives of seven educators of the Health Residency program in Bahia, in the Unified Health System (SUS) in Brazil. The objective was to understand the construction of teacher identity in the context of health. Using principles of (auto)biographical research, the qualitative study is configured as a narrative research. The training memorials written in two stages: in 2017 and 2021 were used as devices. It was concluded that, despite the low attractiveness of the teaching activity in this context, the construction of the teaching identity involves progressive recognition of the meaning of being a teacher, mediated by the interaction with more experienced health educators, the conciliation of teaching as a space of activism for the strengthening of the SUS, the peripheral option of teaching as a profession, the identification of the teaching action based on their previous experiences of banking education and the transformation of their practices in a transition of educational paradigms.
