摘要
Wearable sensors have gained a significant role in our daily life and have become a fundamental part of human existence. These sensors have provided a convenient way by which we can simultaneously deal with our health and everyday life. The wearable textile-based sensors are lightweight and can be utilized for analyzing the vital signs, such as respiration count, body temperature, and blood oxygen metrics of living beings. In this work, a facile wearable textile-based temperature sensor is proposed. The fundamental motivation behind this work is to design and fabricate a flexible temperature sensor which can be easily used by needy individuals. The temperature sensor was fabricated on common household jeans fabric, while commonly available conductive copper wire is utilized as the electrode for the sensor. An exceptionally straightforward and low-cost stitching procedure was utilized to manufacture the sensor. A simple embroidery technique and conductive copper wire were used as embroidery thread. After the fabrication of the sensor, its resistive response was analyzed by NI ELVIS board at various temperatures including human body temperature. The proposed sensor can be utilized as a low-cost textile based wearable sensor for human health monitoring.
