摘要：

Two new species belonging to the genus Empis Linnaeus, 1758 and collected in France are described and illustrated: Empis (Empis) cartusiana n. sp. and Empis (Xanthempis) montsegurensis n. sp., found in the Alps in a national nature reserve (Hauts de Chartreuse) and the Pyrenees in a regional nature reserve (massif de Saint-Barthelemy), respectively.
