摘要：

This work pretends to study the demography of the Oporto city in the 1520's. The main source used is "O Livro da Abertura da Rua das Flores" (from 1521-1527), that divides the population in different tax-payers categories and by circumscriptions; we will this way quantify the population using those criteria, find the economical differences in the various parts of the city, the weight of the tax for tax-payers and finally calculate the grow of the population since 1438
