A dispatching method for automated container terminals: What is next when precise execution is available?

摘要
This research proposes a dispatching method with taking advantage of the precise execution of Automated Intelligent Vehicles(AIV). It has the following features: (i)improving operational efficiency; (ii)reducing energy consumption; (iii)Taking advantage of the precise execution of AlVs; (iv)fast enough for potential real-time implementation. To evaluate the performance of the proposed method, a microscopic simulation is conducted. The proposed method is compared against the common-utilized baseline. Sensitivity analysis is conducted under various numbers of AIVs, containers, lengths of rolling horizons, and YCs distribution. The results show that the proposed method performs consistently with various numbers of AIVs, containers, lengths of rolling horizons, and YCs distribution. The operational efficiency is enhanced by up to 30%. The energy consumption is reduced by up to 21%. The solving time is less than 22 seconds for 500 containers. This proves that the proposed method is fast enough for potential real-time implementation.
