摘要
The social problem related to child labor is a situation that concentrates the efforts of multilateral organizations such as the ILO, UN, UNICEF and in this way, the interest in addressing this social emergency, from the public agendas of the different countries that adopt these conventions and guidelines. This manuscript provides an analysis of child labor in Colombia, based on its possible causes that potentiate it; In this sense, the objective of the article is to establish the elements that determine the probability of occurrence of child labor in Colombia for children from 5 to 17 years of age, differentiating the results in rural and urban areas. The method used is the estimation of a probit model based on the information provided by the Great Integrated Survey of Colombian Households (GEIH) and the survey, Child Labor Module (MTI) of the year 2018. Within the results, it is evident in rural child labor a greater probability of occurrence because of variables such as sex and education to urban child labor.
