center dot Benign and malignant salivary gland disorders are uncommon overall in the pediatric population but can be frequently seen in pediatric otolaryngology or oral and maxillofacial surgery practices. center dot Ultrasound and cross-sectional imaging with computed tomography or MRI can be very useful in the diagnosis of most pediatric salivary gland masses or inflammatory conditions. center dot Sialorrhea is a frequently seen symptom in patients with chronic neuromuscular disease, and treatment can include rehabilitation, medical management, and surgery. center dot Salivary gland neoplasms are more likely to be malignant in children than in adults, and the clinician should have a low threshold for fine-needle aspiration or excisional biopsy.
