摘要
Supplementation is one of the most expensive and labor-intensive processes for cattle herds. There are many complex parameters of the supplementation decision-making processes: weather, cattle characteristics (breed, gender, and age), cattle conditions (weight, health, and welfare), soil, and pasture features (quality and quantity). The Internet of Things (IoT) has been used for agricultural machinery functions to reduce losses related to the supplementation process. Despite that, stakeholders determine how much supplement needs to be supplied through a static decision-making procedure. This work proposes a novel IoT architecture able to represent the whole supplementation workflow and dynamically estimate the cattle's needs for the quantity and quality of supplements.
