摘要
Introduction: The present investigation was based on the relationship between somatization and emotion processing in university students of the Michoacana University of San Nicol & aacute;s de Hidalgo, throug the realization of an experiential workshop with humanistic psychology techniques, developed with the purpose of providing a support space for young students. The objective was to analyze the emotion processing that young university students give to their emotions and the influence that this generates in their integral health . Method: a qualitative study was carried out and the phenomenological method was used through the strategy of an experiential workshop that lasted 12 sessions of 3 hours. The participants were 20 students who voluntarily attended the workshop. The results obtained according to the analysis were: the majority of the participants were able to realize how their bodies somatize their stress with headaches (migraines). It was observed that the participants recognized that behind the anxiety they believed they suffered, was the fear caused by adverse situations in their lives. In addition, the constant need of students to seek recognition from significant figures was detected, be it from their family, teachers and/or friends, since, apparently, when they are not recognized or seen, they tend to have symptoms due to self -demand, such as: colitis, gastritis and in some cases, insomnia. Conclusion: Somatization is very important as a reflection mechanism to modify the prosecution that they give to their emotions was rescued.
