摘要
With the advent of social media, social interaction has undergone a significant change, as people now can connect and communicate with others through digital platforms; therefore, this article invites to reflect on digital engagement practices and how they are shaping both our culture and our social interactions through various theoretical postulates. Social networks have created a virtual space where people can connect, share ideas, interests, and experiences; they have democratized the dissemination of content, allowing any individual to become a content creator and have a voice in the public sphere. This has resulted in a diversity of perspectives and discourses that previously did not have the same visibility. Participation in online communities connects us with people from different cultures and perspectives, broadening our horizon and enriching our understanding of the world. However, this new form of participation also raises important questions. To what extent does our digital engagement reflect our identity? Are we moving away from face-to-face social interactions in favor of virtual connections? Are we losing the depth and authenticity of real human relationships?
