Photography workshops: dissident bodies and the power of perspective

This article is part of the doctoral thesis "Body -word: movements of deinstitutionalization in the production of academic knowledge by dissident women". The thesis was produced through online interviews with women who took part in different feminist activist groups, writing workshops, producing narratives about the definition and recognition of oneself as a woman and photography workshops, which had corporeality as the triggering and articulating element of the notion of dissident bodies. This article discusses the photography workshops held with women from the perspective of the dissident body and through criticism of the processes of colonization of bodies and knowledge. The images produced in this workshop were interwoven with comments from their sharing, indicating affections, sensitivities and powers that produce dissident bodies.
