摘要
This paper compares three control modes of operation of PV power station with respect to their contribution to the damping and synchronizing torques, and transient stability of a radial power system installed with a single-stage PV power station. The three control modes of operation are :(1) Reactive power control (Q-control), (2) Reactive power-Terminal voltage droop control (Q-V droop control), and (3) AC terminal voltage control (V-control). The damping and synchronizing torques coefficients are estimated and compared under each control mode for various levels of PV penetration level. Transient stability of the power system under study is performed using PSCAD to confirm the results obtained from the analysis of the damping and synchronizing torques.
