摘要
INTRODUCTION: As soccer is a sport with numerous changes in intensity that requires different physiological components, modern styles of play require extremely high endurance, especially in female soccer players. Hence, we have aimed to summarize the effects of different types of endurance training in female soccer players. EVIDENCE ACQUISITION: Literature identification was conducted according to the PRISMA guidelines and in multiple databases (Google Scholar, PubMed, Scopus, Cochrane Library, ProQuest, EBSCOhost and Science Direct). EVIDENCE SYNTHESIS: Based on the pre -defined inclusion criteria (year of publication (2003 to 1 st April 2023), fulltext study published in English, the experimental study that had included healthy and injury -free female soccer players as participant sample), database search has identified 112,371 potential studies. Lastly, a total of seven full -text studies were included, with a total of 196 female participants. A wide range of endurance assessment tests were realized, such as 12 -min run test, Wingate test, YoYoIR1 and 30-15IFT, whereas endurance improvements were up to 25.2%. CONCLUSIONS: Although multiple studies did not include control groups, the study findings suggest endurance improvements, regardless of competition level, training experience and participants' age. Hence, the study represents a good framework, however, future studies are necessary, in order to fully understand the results mechanisms.
