Paget disease of bone, two cases report in Colombia

Paget's disease of bone is a metabolic bone disease, it is uncommon in Colombia and other Latin American countries. There are reports of sporadic cases that differ in clinical characteristics from the European cohorts, where is more frequent this condition. We present two cases that were found in Colombia of patients with Paget's disease of the bone. They presented fracture and bone pain, an elevated alkaline phosphatase level, the involvement of the bone was polyostotic and one of the cases there was coexistence with primary hyperparathyroidism, which is infrequent, but there are descriptions in the literature. In addition, a bone tumor was documented as a complication of Paget's disease. These cases provide data of the natural history of Paget's disease of the bone in the Colombian population.
