摘要
The reliable and secure transmission of digital images over wireless networks presents significant challenges in contemporary communication systems. Chaotic map-based encryption techniques have gained popularity as a cost-effective approach for scrambling digital images, owing to their robust security and efficient processing capabilities. However, in order to ensure reliable transmission of encrypted images, it is crucial to address the potential impact of channel errors. Consequently, the integration of error-correcting codes after encryption becomes essential. This research proposes novel enhancements to traditional quadratic chaotic maps with the aim of improving their chaotic characteristics and leveraging their effectiveness in an efficient image encryption algorithm. Furthermore, this paper introduces an innovative combined encryption/encoding model to address specific transmission scenario. The model utilizes Raptor codes to mitigate the challenges posed by multi-path fading channels. To combat the issues associated with multi-path channel propagation, Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is employed as a modulation technique. Empirical evaluations and extensive experimental studies are conducted to assess the performance of the proposed quadratic maps compared to conventional quadratic maps. The results consistently demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed quadratic maps in terms of their chaotic behavior. Moreover, comprehensive analyses and comparative investigations are performed on the proposed security system. The findings validate the enhanced security parameters offered by the combined models when utilizing the improved chaotic maps. Additionally, the system achieves an efficient security level with low computational complexity, making it suitable for practical implementation. This research significantly contributes to the field of secure image communication over wireless networks by integrating advanced encryption algorithms with powerful error-correcting codes. The proposed techniques demonstrate their potential to enhance the reliability and security of image transmission, offering promising solutions for real-world applications in wireless communication systems.
