摘要
This work aims to understand the role of gamification in teaching reading and writing based on Portuguese language textbooks for the 1st and 2nd year of Elementary School. It has a qualitative, descriptive and bibliographical research approach, highlighting the authors: Bacich; Moran (2018), who discussed the importance of active methodologies for innovative education; Tolomei (2017) who discusses gamification as a strategy for engagement and motivation in education and D & iacute;az (2011) presents updates on textbooks as a curricular resource, among others that contribute to the discussion. Subsequently, there was an analysis of the Portuguese language textbook for the first and second year of elementary school, from the Vem Voar collection. After the analysis, it was concluded that the books present some active learning methodologies, such as games, games, among others, but the absence of gamification was noted. Therefore, a gamification activity was proposed for reading and writing work, based on the textbook.
