摘要
The article presents the results of a study aimed at determining the degree of influence of political attitudes on the formation of a positive civic identity of Russians. Trust in government and political activity are considered as political predictors of identity. The study was conducted with the participation of 1014 ethnic Russians, among whom there were 527 female respondents and 487 male respondents; the average age of the study sample was 41. The empirical study used the methodology from the International Social Survey Program to measure civic identity; scales of political trust and willingness to participate in political activities. It was found that Russians who participated in the study have a high level of trust in the president and the Russian army. The judicial system and political parties inspire less trust among citizens. It was revealed that the strongest influence on the formation of a positive civic identity is exerted by trust in the president, the government of the Russian Federation, and the Russian army. In general, indicators of political trust have a noticeably more pronounced impact on the formation of a positive civic identity of Russians than the willingness to take part in various political activities.
