Research on Innovation in China and Latin America: Bibliometric Insights in the Field of Business, Management, and Decision Sciences

China and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) are now key players in global research production. This study presents a comparative study on research on innovation in management and decision sciences based on data from Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) between China and LAC. Findings showed significant differences between regions regarding journals' citation-dependent measures, and between the number of authors and journal reputation. Public universities have been leading producers. China showed a particular interest in research topics such as commerce and industry, while LAC was strongly interested in sustainable development and biotechnology. En la actualidad, China y Am & eacute;rica Latina y el Caribe (ALC), son actores clave en la producci & oacute;n global de investigaci & oacute;n. Este trabajo presenta un estudio comparativo sobre la investigaci & oacute;n de la innovaci & oacute;n en administraci & oacute;n y ciencias de la decisi & oacute;n, basado en datos de Scopus y Web of Science (WoS) entre China y ALC. Los hallazgos mostraron diferencias significativas entre las regiones con respecto a los indicadores de citaciones, y entre el n & uacute;mero de autores y la reputaci & oacute;n de las revistas. Las universidades p & uacute;blicas lideran la producci & oacute;n. China expres & oacute; especial inter & eacute;s en temas como comercio e industria, mientras que en ALC est & aacute;n interesados en desarrollo sostenible y biotecnologia. Atualmente, China e Am & eacute;rica Latina e as Cara & iacute;bas (LAC na sigla em ingl & ecirc;s) s & atilde;o atores-chave na produ & ccedil;& atilde;o global de pesquisa. O presente trabalho apresenta um estudo comparativo de pesquisas em inova & ccedil;& atilde;o nas ci & ecirc;ncias de gest & atilde;o e decis & atilde;o, fundamentado em dados de Scopus e Web of Science (WoS), entre China e LAC. Os achados apresentam diferen & ccedil;as significativas entre as regi & otilde;es no que tange as normas de cita & ccedil;& atilde;o e entre o n & uacute;mero de autores e a reputa & ccedil;& atilde;o do peri & oacute;dico; as universidades p & uacute;blicas lideram a produ & ccedil;& atilde;o; a China manifesta espec & iacute;fico em alguns temas de pesquisa, tais como com & eacute;rcio e ind & uacute;stria, enquanto na LAC h & aacute; mais interesse por desenvolvimento sustent & aacute;vel e biotecnologia.
