摘要
This study focuses on the synthesis of magnetic biochar derived from spent coffee grounds and their use in biodegradable pectin composite films. X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy confirmed an amorphous char structure with embedded crystalline magnetite in the magnetic biochar. For the composite films, the hysteresis loops show a magnetic behavior reminiscent of a soft magnet with a low coercive field of 90 Oe and 14 % remanence. Thermogravimetric analysis revealed improved thermal stability of the composite films compared to pure pectin films. The proposed approach offers enhanced thermal properties and magnetic functionality, with potential applications in sustainable packaging, electromagnetic shielding and environmental sensing.
