摘要
Our heart is restless. The orientation of man towards God in Augustine, Pascal and Blondel. The Confessions of Saint Augustine show man's orientation towards eternal rest in God through his own search for meaning, happiness and truth. They want to encourage praise of God and insight into the human situation and the searching effort, which depends on oncoming grace. Blaise Pascal took up the question under the conditions of the early modern period through a radical anthropological demonstration of the misery and greatness of man. His situation leads to a search that is part of what the Christian tradition has to offer and in which the love of God finds its culmination. Maurice Blondel, in turn, under the conditions of modern rationalism, demonstrated the transcendence in every human act that forces an option and is open to the plausibility of the Christian response.
