摘要
Within the scope of the recycling houses project to be implemented for the separate collection of urban solid waste at the source in Turkey, determining the locations of these equipments is important for collection efficiency, waste transport route, and accessibility. This study aims to identify the most efficient locations for recycling houses to be established in Fatih/Sehremini neighborhood. The number of recycling houses needed was calculated according to the amount of reusable waste, calculated based on the population living in the neighborhood. Due to the high cost of recycling houses, it is planned to place two recycling houses in the neighborhood. In this respect, the areas that can be used are schools and mosques with gardens. The TOPSIS analysis method was used to determine which the most appropriate school and mosque points for the waste density and accessibility within the neighborhood. This study is promising in terms of optimization of municipal solid waste management and establishment of recycling houses at optimal locations in wider areas by implementing them at the county and provincial level.
