摘要
The present work aims to define a methodology for designing low-noise Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines (PMSMs) by addressing the issues of average torque, torque ripple, cogging torque and radial forces through a comparative analysis between different motor topologies with similar envelope and output characteristics for light traction applications. Four PMSMs topologies with different stator and rotor topologies were considered while keeping constant the main geometrical dimensions. The influence of the number of poles and slots, air gap length and winding configuration on the average electromagnetic torque, cogging torque and air gap radial forces is presented.
