The metamorphosis of λ-fold (K 2 x K3)-designs into A-fold 6-cycle systems

摘要
Let (X, B ) be a A-fold (K- 2 x K-3) -design of order n. From each B in B , we retain one 6 -cycle subgraph, and delete the remaining edges. If the deleted 3 |B| edges can be rearranged into further 6 -cycles, then we get a A-fold 6 -cycle system. This is called a metamorphosis of a A-fold (K (2) x K- 3 ) -design of order n into a A-fold 6 -cycle system. In this paper we determine the necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of such a metamorphosis.
