摘要
In this letter, a compact dual-band shared-aperture array is proposed for base station communications. A method combining antenna miniaturization based on current path extension and scattering suppression is adopted. By folding the antenna radiator and loading the stubs, the low-band (LB) antenna is enabled to exhibit electromagnetic transparency at the high-band (HB). As a result, a shared aperture array with a compact size is achieved. Benefiting from the miniaturization and scattering suppression of the LB antenna, the distortion of the HB radiation is restored at a compact spacing. Additionally, the in-band couplings of the HB array are effectively suppressed by the introduction of a director layer.
