A journey from users' experience to their expectations in the realm of future advanced driver assistance systems

Perhaps the most difficult aspect of implementing an advanced driver assistance system into a vehicle is making it fully customizable. Several driver-specific customization challenges must be met in the cabin. Comfort, variety, and individualized organization of the user's possessions are all within the reach of some systems. Advanced driver assistance systems were the focus of this study, specifically the user's interface with the vehicle. To gauge current knowledge and anticipations for future driver assistance technologies, we administered questionnaires and conducted user-focused interviews with 38 individuals across India. The study's limited scope did provide a few interesting avenues for further investigation. The results of the study reveal that users have demonstrated a larger dependence on advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) in terms of safety considerations in relation to the current driving experience. In addition, they are particularly interested in the numerous in-vehicle facility features that are available with existing ADAS, and at the same time, they are looking forward to having personalized ADAS for their fleet in the future.
