摘要
Extended Reality technology, with its two prominent types of virtual reality and augmented reality, has been used in a variety of domains such as entertainment, sports, marketing, shopping, education, and many more. This technology has proved valuable for enhancing the users' experience, learning, decision-making, and creativity. In this systematic review, we focus on the category of Extended Reality applications developed to increase awareness and provide education or training on cybersecurity concepts and threats. This review includes papers indexed in the Web of Science over the last 10 years from 2013 to 2023 and will focus on which technology was used most heavily to achieve these purposes. Additionally, we aim to explore the types of studies employed with these technologies, their goals, target groups, their strengths and limitations, the theories they were based on, and we point out potential future research directions.
