摘要
The Integration of new market players and local energy trading among them, adds up to several challenges such as trust, security, and privacy. Thus, to solve the abovementioned issues, this article proposes an Ethereum enabled framework that utilizes smart contracts to accomplish the requirements of secure and decentralized energy trading in a community without the intervention of a trusted third party. In this paper, we studied our framework's performance by testing metrics such as throughput, sent and received data, and average response time. The overall conclusion and analysis of our study suggest that a blockchain-based architecture can be implemented to securely trade energy in a smart community and address the issues of energy cost imbalance and both consumer and prosumer profitability.
