In the framework of the 10 years of Pope Francis' pontificate (2013-2023), several theologians and Vatican experts make a kind of "balance sheet" or synthesis of the contribution of a Latin American and Jesuit Pope in leading the Church. One perspective of this "balance sheet" is to identify the pastoral priorities since he took over as Bishop of Rome. This article intends to place the Global Pact on Education (GPE) in the pontificate of Pope Francis, identifying the pastoral priorities, and demonstrating how the GPE is one more element in the process of transforming mentalities in view of a new lifestyle. Then, it will try to analyze the 7 commitments of the Global Compact on Education as a synthesis of Pope Francis' pastoral priorities over these 10 years. Finally, it is intended to indicate how Catholic Education committed to the PEG can collaborate in the formation of ethical individuals who, from a new mentality, can effectively cooperate in the construction of a society that has a decent place for everyone.
