Pulsed Field Ablation for Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation Reply

To the Editor: Reddy et al. (Nov. 2 issue)(1) conducted a trial comparing pulsed field ablation with thermal ablation in patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. The notable underrepresentation of Black participants in this trial is of concern. Black patients constituted only 1.3% of those in the group undergoing pulsed field ablation and 3.6% of those in the group undergoing thermal ablation, and at least 90% of the 607 trial participants were White - an imbalance that reflects the broader issue of clinical trial inclusivity.
