摘要
The paper presents a novel dual-polarized base-station antenna array with 700-MHz and 3.6-GHz wideband elements in one shared radiating aperture. It comprises a magneto-electric (ME) dipole antenna in 0.644-0.967 GHz (40.1%), four dipole antennas in 3.29-5.18 GHz (44.7%) and a metasurface absorber. These four 3.6-GHz antennas are placed above the 700-MHz antenna. To suppress the mutual coupling between antenna elements working at different bands, a wideband metasurface absorber is placed below the 700-MHz antenna. The designed absorber is used to absorb the upper-band wave from the 700-MHz antenna, and works as a normal reflector for the lower-band electromagnetic wave. As a result, the proposed dual-polarized base-station antenna array has standard broadside radiation patterns in dual operating bandwidths.
