摘要
Oxygen recuperation is a feasible approach to improve the efficiency of a hydrogen storage system (HSS) by enhancing the efficiency of the fuel cell system. However, current HSSs with oxygen recuperation often neglect the impact of oxygen recuperation on the optimal operating parameters of fuel cell systems, which limits the potential of oxygen recuperation. In this paper, the configuration and model of an HSS with oxygen recuperation were introduced, encompassing a fuel cell system and an electrolyzer system. Subsequently, a constrained optimization problem was formulated to optimize the performance of the fuel cell system. Moreover, considering the cost of oxygen recuperation, the round-trip efficiency was employed to evaluate the impact of oxygen recuperation on the overall HSS performance. The simulation results revealed that oxygen recuperation significantly boosts the efficiency of fuel cell system by 5.46 % and improves the round-trip efficiency of HSS by 3.18 % compared to the system without oxygen recuperation when the fuel cell and electrolyzer systems operate at their rated powers.
