摘要：

The aim of this paper is to investigate the state of research relating to the design of digital olfactory experiences. This is an additional aspect of the human-computer interaction that will form the basis of future digital landscapes, such as the metaverse. Multisensory involvement is in fact central to the creation of the internet of bodies, which will usher in the convergence of the physical and digital dimensions. At the same time, it opens the door to new concerns, which will also be analyzed via a case study of a startup operating in this sector.
