摘要
In this work, the corrosion inhibition effect of the polyelectrolyte, poly(diallyl dimethylammonium chloride) (PDDA), as an additive in the alkaline Al -air battery is described and compared with the monomer dimethyl diallyl ammonium chloride (DMDAAC). Electrochemical measurement and morphology analysis are employed to characterize the inhibition effects of the additives. Additionally, the discharge characteristics of the battery are explored, and the capacity density is derived. These results demonstrate that the polymer additive suppresses Al samples ' corrosion process more effectively than DMDAAC. The adsorption mechanism is proposed based on the Freundlich adsorption isotherm theory and quantum mechanical calculation.
