摘要
The pullout resistance of inextensible sheet reinforcement is a crucial parameter in the design of reinforced earth structures. The current approaches account for the pullout resistance of reinforcement due to oblique pull when the backfill consists of cohesionless soil. Very few studies were available for the backfill is cohesive-frictional, carries uniform surcharge at the top. The current technique is aimed to evaluate the shear stress along each slice in addition to normal stresses which were not considered by earlier. Under the kinematics of failure, a simple solution has given based on the limit equilibrium approach. The tensile force in the reinforcement is assessed by taking into account for the mobilisation of transverse force, subjected to oblique pull out in the pseudo-static framework. The present study also evaluates the effects of various parameters such as wall geometry, surcharge, shear strength parameters, and the factor of safety of the pull-out resistance of inextensible sheet reinforcement under seismic loading. The suggested equations are beneficial for analysing the internal stability of a reinforced earth wall with c- & oslash; backfill and carrying a surcharge. A comparison provides the results of a comprehensive studies with particular emphasis on the evaluation of the proposed work.
