摘要
Molybdenum disulfide (MoS 2 ), a significant two dimensional nanomaterial have governed promising properties which attributes in various fields. The remarkable properties of large surface area, tunable bandgap and efficient absorption capacity trademark its pivotal role in photocatalytic applications. In this regard, this comprehensive study delves into investigation of molybdenum disulfide (MoS 2 ) as an efficient photocatalyst and a detail emphasis on the comparative study of cobalt and manganese doped MoS 2 . This article depicts and explore the recent advancements in the fundamental properties of MoS 2 including synthesis methods, surface chemistry, structure and morphology. Additionally, this review also focuses on the potential effect of impactful doping on charge carriers, bandgap engineering and surface reactivity in the MoS 2 . The detail study of doping illustrates their comparison enhancement in the photocatalytic efficacy. By comprehensively analyzing the effective doping of transition metals, this article aims to insights the sustainable photocatalyst for researchers engaged in the development of highly efficient photocatalyst.
