摘要
This work has focused on the study of the implementation of an efficient integration of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) with the different Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) applications. It aims to ensure seamless information flow and enhance collaboration, data exchange and decision-making throughout the entire product lifecycle. A difficulty for this integration the absence of a universal model for information transfer between system models in MBSE and the engineering-skilloriented models in the specific CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools used. This paper proposes an overview of promising new approaches to this emerging challenge, and comprises an extension to the sequential Vee-model, as well as methods that allow tool connectivity standardization such us Unified Data Models (UDM). Following this preliminary analysis, the UDM, supported by an approach such as RESTful Web Services, emerges as a highly promising resolution to the challenges in question.
