摘要
Purpose of reviewSchizophrenia Spectrum Disorders (SSD) are severe conditions that frequently produce significant impairment in cognitive performance, social skills and psychosocial functioning. As pharmacological treatment alone often provides only limited improvements on these outcomes, several psychosocial interventions are employed in psychiatric rehabilitation practice to improve of real-world outcomes of people living with SSD: the present review aims to provide a critical overview of these treatments, focusing on those that show consistent evidence of effectiveness.Recent findingsSeveral recent systematic reviews and meta-analyses have investigated in detail the acceptability, the effectiveness on several specific outcomes and moderators of response of different psychosocial interventions, and several individual studies have provided novel insight on their implementation and combination in rehabilitation practice.SummaryCognitive remediation, metacognitive training, social skills training, psychoeducation, family interventions, cognitive behavioral therapy, physical exercise and lifestyle interventions, supported employment and some other interventions can be fully considered as evidence-based treatments in SSD. Psychosocial interventions could be of particular usefulness in the context of early intervention services. Future research should focus on developing newer interventions, on better understanding the barriers and the facilitators of their implementation in clinical practice, and exploring the opportunities provided by novel technologies.

[Anonymous], This work includes and discusses in detail 9 systematic reviews and 31 trials on 11 different psychosocial interventions, providing valuable insight on the effectiveness of the different interventions on different outcomes
[4]
[Anonymous], This meta-analysis identifies the ideal candidates for supported employment interventions, highlighting that this approach can be of great clinical usefulness if delivered to the right type of participant at the right point of the rehabilitation process

[Anonymous], This umbrella review of meta-analyses and network meta-analyses includes a quantitative synthesis, comparing with a network approach the effectiveness of the different psychosocial interventions on different outcomes, confirming their evidence-based nature

[Anonymous], This meta-analysis not only confirms the effectiveness of physical exercise on cognitive impairment associated with schizophrenia, but also identifies treatment-related moderators of effect, providing essential information on how to design and implement effective interventions in real-world clinical contexts
[7]
[Anonymous], This meta-analysis is the first work confirming that physical exercise is not only effective in improving cognitive performance and clinical symptoms severity, but that these improvements are translated into gains in real-world psychosocial functioning
[8]
[Anonymous], This guidance paper explicitly recommends some psychosocial interventions such as cognitive remediation and physical exercise as the most effective treatments for cognitive impairment associated with schizophrenia

[Anonymous], This meta-analysis attests the effectiveness of metacognitive training on different outcomes of clinical relevance, confirming the evidence-based nature of this intervention

[Anonymous], This meta-analysis represents the first assessment of cognitive remediation acceptability, confirming that this intervention has a good acceptability profile
