摘要
Membership changes in public research and development (R&D) teams are a crucial aspect yet unexplored, particularly within inter-organizational teams, wherein organizations possessing core competencies play a distinct role in promoting innovation performance. This study examined the impact of membership changes within public R&D teams and focused on organizations with core competencies. Analyzing public energy R&D projects in South Korea revealed that increased changes in team membership negatively affects innovation performance. This emphasizes the critical role of core competencies in influencing how membership changes impact innovation performance in public R&D teams, offering valuable insights for funding agencies and R&D project management.
