摘要
In this study, the asymmetric effect of electricity consumption on income inequality is analyzed for T & uuml;rkiye. The NARDL approach was utilized in the analysis for the period 1987-2021. It is found that there is a long-run relationship between the variables.Furthermore, the augmented ARDL procedure confirms the strength and stability of the relationship. Long-run elasticities show that the inequality-enhancing effect of negative shocksin electricity consumption is greater than the equalizing effect of positive shocksin electricity consumption. According to these results, increasing electricity consumption is a useful tool to reduce income inequality. To this end, it must be ensured that the use of and access to electricity is not interrupted
