摘要
In this study, an ultra-wide bandwidth with compact volume implantable antenna in the applications health monitor microsystem is proposed. A biocompatible, stable and high efficiency material, the Rogers 3010 ( epsilon r = 10.2 and loss tangent of sigma = 0.001) with thickness of 0.25 mm is employed as the substrate. The proposed antenna with compact size of 9 mm x 9 mm x 0.5 mm (40.5 mm(3)) with an ultra-wide impedance matching of 5380 MHz (1.42 GHz - 6.8 GHz). The ultra-wide bandwidth characteristic of the antenna is achieved by introducing a simple antenna with the patch based on metamaterial unit-cell and the cutting flower slots as well as several semicirculars on the ground plane. The proposed antenna's performances are tested via numerical simulations in a skin phantom model with the frequency-dependent electrical properties. Furthermore, the antenna provides low specific absorption rate (SAR) values that comply with IEEE safety guidelines.
