摘要
This longitudinal study examined the relationship between multiple commitments (affective and continuance organisational commitment, career commitment, and job involvement) and job satisfaction at three time intervals. Participants were 122 employees working in an Israeli Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO). Results showed that the elapsed time between the measurement of multiple commitments and job satisfaction was a significant factor in determining the level of the effect of multiple commitments in predicting job satisfaction. A short interval between the measurement of multiple commitments and job satisfaction correlated with a better prediction ability. Implications for future research on commitment and job satisfaction are discussed.
