摘要：
The review considers the book, which is the diaries of the first scientific expedition to Siberia carried out under the leadership of the German scientist Daniel Gottlieb Messerschmidt on the instructions of Peter I. The book was the result of the interaction of scientists from several scientific fields ( geographers, biologists, linguists, translators, historians, etc.). The structure of the book is analyzed, the specificity of its content is revealed, its scientific and practical significance is evaluated. It is concluded that a publication of this kind is an innovative project of great scientific and practical significance both for educational and research processes.
