CHARACTERISTICS AND KEY SUCCESS FACTORS OF INTEGRATED INFORMATION SYSTEMS FOR SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED COMPANIES ON THE CROATIAN MARKET

A large number of small and medium-sized enterprises and their need for the application of integrated information systems has attracted the attention of the academic community. The interest is manifested in a relatively large number of research aimed at analyzing the key success factors of the introduction of integrated information systems. At the same time, a lack of similar research was observed in the Republic of Croatia. This article aims to determine and analyze the features and key success factors of integrated information systems for small and medium-sized enterprises on the Croatian market. In the theoretical part of the work, the key success factors of integrated information systems are systematized and their features are determined from the perspective of functionality and the technological perspective. The empirical part of the research examines the specifics related to small and medium-sized enterprises in the Republic of Croatia, and was conducted in the form of a focus group. The results showed that the quality of the system and the quality of the supplier's service are distinguished according to their importance about other factors of the success of integrated information systems of small and medium-sized enterprises. The scientific contribution is also reflected in the systematization of integrated information systems of small and medium-sized enterprises according to their functionalities in a way that has not been recognized in similar research so far. The results of empirical research are also applicable in business practice as an aid to management when choosing an integrated information system.
